Ray- if you ever get the logistics worked out on the Anaglyphic Sky
Writing, I would like to fly the "Blue Airplane".>
Ray Zone responds:
Actually, Bill, there is very little in the arena of 3-D that has not
been attempted. What I believe is the world's first anaglyph tattoo
was applied to the upper right shoulder of Marilyn Gatewood of
Springfield, Mo. in October of 1984 by New York tattoo artist Joseph
P. O'Sullivan. The tattoo is entitled "Homage to Marilyn Monroe" and
it was lifted (and horizontally flopped) from a panel in the story
called "Fair Play" with art by Dave Stevens and Jim Sullivan from the
1984 Pacific Comic "Three Dimensional Alien Worlds" for which I
produced the 3-D conversion. I reprinted this story in the 3-D Zone
compilation "Space Vixens" along with a B&W photo of the tattoo from
an AP wirephoto in 1989. Thanks for the offer to fly the "Blue
Airplane" for the anaglyphic skywriting. I'll keep you in mind when
the day comes.
