[photo-3d] four ektagraphics

Dataton controllers were used to control the projectors in Mesa. The nice
thing about their controllers is that each runs four projectors. The bad
thing is that they are pretty expensive! One contrller with cables will run
about $2000. (They do turn up used, but not often!) The controllers are run
by software that only runs on a Mac ("Trax").

As far as I know, a mix of Ektagraphic projectors would not be a problem,
but don't try to use Carousels. I also recommend zoom lenses, f/2.8 if
possible. (Later Ektagraphics come with "brightlight" lamp modules- light is
always a problem with 3D)

As far as getting a screen larger than 50 x 50, DaLite makes the 70 x 70,
but larger than that requires a custom set-up.

I regularly give slide shows to groups, mostly garden clubs and
friends. As the crowds got bigger my old
projector a Stereo Vivid Deluxe 716A has created some problems. My
biggest screen is 50 X 50, in order
to get the people sitting in optimum viewing range I'm going off the
screen. I guess I could go out and
buy a bigger screen, but when I went to the convention and saw the
presentations there, I started to think
about the Ektagrapic projectors.
