Don't know if it's me (my eyes seem to adapt to most anything)
or maybe just luck, but so far I've found just putting the
store mounted 2x2 slides
(taken with an RBT X3B) into the 2x2 viewer looks
great 80% of the time, and 20% "obviously" need some cropping and/or
significant mounting-to-window (way I do it) work. Could a good number
of the 80% be made better with remounting? Sure, but if the closest
item is a few feet behind the window instead of right up to it,
it's still a pretty good 3D image. If composition (etc) make
it worth it, it'll make it to projection either in Gepe 2x2's or
in an RBT (for taking to CSC). "Then" I'll optimize it. But only
the prime ones or ones of special interest need to be labored over.
I can look at all 32 rolls of 3D photos w/o any work after getting
them back (other than putting them into clear archival slide pages
which I do with a template so a roll taked all of a minute or so).
I've finally a way of managing mass quantities of photography
end to end -- rather than having it back up at the uncut film
stage. :-)
For those of you who can knock off precision mounting 32 rolls
of images in a couple nights (and you know who you are) my hat's
off to you (if I had a hat), but I'm slow (take that any way
you want :-). I don't seem to have time for anything... :-)
I prefer to be able to look at my 3d pic's when I get them
"back from the pharmacy", and I now can, and I like it. :-)
