No, for me it is much easier to detect and "classify" a
mounting error in a handviewer. In projection I just know I
can't fuse an image and it hurts. In a handviewer I can tell
immediately whether it is a window violation, a vertical
error, a rotational error, etc.

Correct!

No need to do any math, the window placement has nothing to do
with your handviewer. You cannot change the window in a
handviewer like you can on a projector.

You are right, I way overstated that one. Instant
gratification is one reason. The time you save that can be
spent with family and friends is another.

I can have almost anyone up and mounting a roll of 28 Realist
pairs in Spicer mounts in under one hour in no time at all.
With a few rolls of practice that time can be cut down to
about 30 minutes a roll.

That could end up taking you about 16 hours or two hours a
night for a week. Yes, a lot of time in some people's eyes.

I cannot compete with that *{;-)

As I said I was aiming this at the general stereo public. I
knew you remounted your "better" ones. I know you understand
the window and how to get the best presentation from an image.
I hope I have not offended you in any way?
With all that said, I still stand by my opinion that all
images should be mounted to their best if you are going to be
showing them to anyone but yourself.
That's all for now,
