I'll cast my vote for accuracy! I agree that I want to see the
same thing on the film that I see in the finder, and that's why
I use Kodachrome. And I agree that I want to find beauty and share
it with others, not create it. Hopefully this will inspire them
to look for beauty in their everyday lives. This is not to say that
if people want to create it, they shouldn't. That is also valid.
As for good Kodachrome processing, Fair Lawn has been very good
for me except for the time right after Kodak sold out and it
became Kodalux. There were a couple of bad years. But when Kodak
took over again it improved. This doesn't mean that other people
haven't had bad experiences, and it doesn't mean perfection. I've
seen a few minor flaws. But as a whole the processing has been
very good. And I drop the film off and pick it up at my local
drug store. They are very careful about sending it out and always
check on it if it's been delayed.
