I use probably the same pro-lab in San Diego (Chrome Lab?) and they have no 
requirement that you be a professional.  36 exp roll E6 unmounted goes for 
$5.85, done in 2 hours.  I've been using them for 15 years.  Mounted in 
plastic costs a buck more.
