I didn't see much discussion of this, but I wanted to
bring it up after my experiences viewing stereo theater
at NSA Mesa. I felt a lot of visual discomfort viewing
many of the shows at Mesa, probably for a number of
different reasons. One of the obvious reasons, though,
was a very heavy dose of fade/dissolve, with exactly the
problems Peter describe.
Do the modern projectors with fade/dissolve allow slides
to be changed without using that feature? I certainly
hope to see more judicious use of fade/dissolve in future
NSA shows.
