[photo-3d] Re: Spicer mounting

No, these were not hyper shots, but normal RBT ones. I just mounted another
roll and had more problems. On one, the perfs were visible because one film
chip had slipped off the pins. I caught it before taping. I now am VERY
careful to check the chip outline on the spicer mount before taping. The
perfs
should be parallel to the edge. Thanks Dave & Paul for inputs on how to avoid
misalignment.

Mounting the hypers was a challenge and I had to retape on a few before it was
OK.

The fisheye shots came out great. I mounted them in RBT 33mm mounts. Not
having the coupling bars for aperture and focus is not a problem. The lenses
are heavy, though. (These are Zenitar 16mm f/2.8 in Pentax K mount available
from

russianplaza@xxxxxxxxxxx

or on e-Bay.) Best to avoid scenes with lots of straight lines as there is
some curvature at the edges. But how else could you cover 180 deg?

Regards -Ralph
