5000K Florescence are about the best source I have found for checking color balance when making prints from both color negs and reversals. It should be just right for viewing Stereo slides but where are you going to get a tube small enough. I have only found these in 4 foot lengths and scarce at that. On a bread board viewer I have been using a small U tube florescent. About 4 inches long and about 7 watts. I use a piece of blue thin plastic film (obtained at craft store) to cool it down. Let me know if you find a 5000k 4 inch U tube!
