Yes, the Nishika is a goofy looking camera that originally sold for an OUTRAGEOUS price.  But I believe an argument could be made that the camera does have some value.  I have hooked two people on stereo-photography by purchasing a Nishika for $20 at a local pawn shop (and removing the lead weight), loading it with a roll of 100 ASA film, giving them a couple dozen slide in half frame mounts and a "steal the light" plastic viewer.  Total cost was under $40.  The results were sufficient enough that they then bought a Realist camera and viewer on their own. 

So for those people lurking on this list that aren't sure if they want to spend $200 plus on a "real" stereo camera and viewer, I say if you can find a Nishika for $20, it may be cheap enough for you to give stereo photography a try!
