But
do they have registration pins like the RBTs? Can I open them up and
adjust
the chips without breaking tape or adhesive? If not, they don't sound so
advantageous. And I guess I worry about dropping them and breaking the
glass--yuck! But without a doubt, they would look great and protect
well.

Try good aluminum masks and glass, and it will convince you. There are a
number of these types of masks - I use Realist Masks, but no longer
manufactured. EMDE are good, too. No, they do not have pins - this is not
really needed.
