I'm one of the ones who would love to have a heat seal mount WITHOUT 
tabs.  Yes, I push the tabs in on every one that I use.  They just
get in the way of placing the chips!  But, I DO like the heat seal.  
It makes the mount very rigid.  I can't see how a taped shut mount 
could be a rigid as one that is heat sealed and one piece for all 
practical purposes.  Now, if I could only get a nice percision cut, 
non-tabed,heat seld mount --- I'd be in slide mounter's heaven!
