[photo-3d] download stereo animations?
- From: Tom Deering <photo-3d@xxxxxxxxxxx>

I have some stereoscopic animations that I am considering putting
online for others to download. (This is planned for next weekend.)
I am looking for input as to file size and format.
The problem is, they are big. At 360x240, the files run between 1.7
and 7.0 megabytes. And these are the *smaller* compressed versions I
made for downloading.
I hate to put giant files online that are too big for most people to
download. On the other hand, I hate to compress them so harshly that
they look like junk. Which is why I am asking the following
questions:
--What is the largest file you personally are willing to download?
--Can you view AVI files? Can you view Quicktime files?
--Do you prefer anaglyphs or interleaved format for animations?
--Would you rather view really short, high-quality animations? Or
would you rather see longer animations with artifacts and degradation?
Please respond OFFLINE to smile@xxxxxxxxxxxx I plan to do this on
Friday so the files are available over the weekend. Let me know
today.
Thanks,
Tom
PS: I will show the full quality, full size versions of these
animations at the Third Friday Stereo Dinner in Manhattan on Sept 15.
