Paul, if you're worried about the kids dropping the viewer, maybe you can
put it on a tripod for them.  There should be a mounting hole in the bottom
of your red button realist viewer which will fit on the tripod.  Then they
can look into the viewer and push the button, without a chance of dropping
it.  Although Murphy's Law says they might still tip over the tripod....

Those little $3 Radex viewers really do give a good image if you backlight
them with a good light.  Just take the shade off a 100W bulb and point the
viewer at it.  Or use a portable light table.

Those slides are a blast, aren't they?!!
