And for most of the same reasons, I, and most other consumers will continue
to use other materials. Aside from its archival qualities, Kodachrome's 
color, grain, sharpness, and blacks simply don't measure up to what's
available from many, many other films. Add in the ready availability
of fast, high-quality processing for E6 materials, and it's pretty easy
to see why the green boxes have so thoroughly displaced the yellow
ones in professional's bags. 

I'm an old fart too, but I got over the Kodachrome religion some time
ago -- I'll just have to live with the fact that my timeless art may not
be around 100 years from now. I won't be here to care anyway. :-)
