Zero? :)

I don't know the answers but will like to point out that they are
subjective. "What is good for you?" What are you going
to do with the slides? View them in the viewer, in projection,
in the web? The answers are tied to the viewing method and
each individual's expectations.
I noticed you tie your questions to the mounting medium.
"What to expect from?". I would say you can get near
zero misalignments with ANY mounting material.
Also, there is no such thing as horizontal misalignment
because, unlike perfect vertical alignment, there is no
perfect horizontal alignment.

The RBT mounts allow adjustment of vertical alignment in
steps of 0.1mm. However, the maximum error tolerated is half
that, 0.05mm, because you can always go to the next step.
>From my mounting experience, I would say that 0.05mm is
good enough. It would not bother me. Even though you read
that it bothers some other people.
Ferwarda in "The World of 3D" has some discussions
on this subject too.
Another type of problem you might want to include in your
list is mismatch of focal lengths. This is of interest to those
using twin cameras mainly.
