If the film has taken on a curl or wave, I find that hanging with a slight
weight for a period of time will invariably take it out. In fact, I store
all my uncut film this way until I get around to mounting it. The only issue
is whether you can wait the longer period needed to straighten film by this
method. When you need a quick fix, I find the reverse roll approach will
help, although it is easy to go too far.
