I agree there is a problem with the conversion & display process.
Psychologically, we humans are well adapted to recognize patterns. And
frankly, the matrix that we're forced to look at digitized images
through is a very easy pattern to recognize, even if it's almost
subliminal.

My personal opinion is that they should start scrambling the pixels on
ccd's & lcd. Break up the pattern, and I think we'll end up with much
more pleasing digitized images.

Problem is, a grid is cheap to manufacture and design electronics for. A
randomized field is going to be harder to make.
