Not sure who "marble" is, but thanks for the post - this is a fun
recreation of an old idea, and the web page is a good read on
the history of the project.  I love the contest-winning name "Eye
Stilts"!

Seems to me that you could affix a stereo camera (or two singles) to
this contraption and, with its rotation capability, take hyperstereo
360-degree panoramics.  A jumbo rotating hyper-splitter.

One wonders, has anyone ever made a variable-base image-splitter
by putting _pivoting_ periscopes of this type on a camera, changing
the angle of the "v" arms to taste?  I have a vague recollection of
this.
