Deschutes Black Butte Porter does it for me every time. This 
is a micro brew from Oregon and probably not available east of 
the Rockies. Just make sure not to take too hard of a hit off 
the bottle or you get the ol' volcano effect *{;-)

I have also found that good background music helps a lot. Hard 
rock gets your head bangin' too much to see what you are 
doing, new age just puts you to sleep, country makes you drip 
tears on your images, and rap - well that's just crap! Try 
some good classical or modern folk or maybe even some light 
jazz.
