You know the answer!  
Of course the most critical situation would determine 
the outcome. That is: projection, large screen image, 
sitting close to the screen.
Of course this will reduce the depth which would be
possible in a viewer, but you cannot have everything,
can you?
But the point is that the worst viewing condition
must be known before you even go taking pictures.
