No offence, but why all the redundancy? For example, why not forget the
extra camera for black and white and just print the color negatives on
black and white paper. And if you are shooting with 5 cameras, why on
earth do you need a 6th for back-up. And I assume you mean "for Change in
ASA" not "Chance in ASA?"
I guess my problem is that I come from a background of professional
photography and never had to resort to backups or excessive bracketing.
If I needed 3 or 4, 4 x 5 or 8x10 transparencies. I only carried one
extra film holder because I knew enough to get the image I needed and
feel confident it was correctly done. Please, no reflection on you - if
you feel the need to carry all that extra stuff, do not let me tell you
different. It's just that your way seems excessive, that's all.
If I required slides or black and white prints or slides - I got them
done in the darkroom. As long as I had color negatives, it was easy to
produce the output I needed in the darkroom. FYI: I learned to work this
way when we were shooting lots of 11x14 and larger sheet film. You had to
work smart and not rely on lots of redundancy.
