Hello Peter,
If you have or if you know of a friend who has a slide duplicator that
also holds negative strips, you can make the slides from C-41 negs
directly yourself by using Kodak SO-279 which is also C-41.  The film is
balanced for tungsten light.  You will probably need to expose two rolls
of 36 exposure film for the 29 pairs as the duplicating rig is 8-P.  The
film is very slow (ASA 8) but it is a very easy process with the right
equipment.  With an F-1, I use my ELNikor enlarging lens with a Canon
bellows tied to a slide duplicator that has another bellows for
focussing.  The ordinary cheap tube duplicator T-mount attachment with
the self contained lens is not very suitable though.  Too slow; no
flexibility.
