I agree strongly with Ray. I have put on shows with 2-3 screens side by side
and using between 9 and 12 Kodak SAV 2x2 projectors. I always aligned the
projectors carefully and the widest projected separation was always eye
width. Some shows ran for over 20 minutes and used a wide variety of
effects. One show even used high speed cuts between 3 pairs of projectors to
give an appearance of animation.

My fades were never constant during a show and were linked to key points in
the music for effect. Fades varied between 1 second and 8 seconds. At times
the 3 screens formed a single panoramic image, but at other times the fades
/ cuts did not sync with any other screen.

These shows were put on many times with audiences sizes up to 80. There was
never a single report of anyone suffering ill effects. If anything about
"fades" was going to cause a problem, then it probably should have shown up
here.
