Thanks Robert for posting David Stuckey's latest SI 3D Olympic report and
seven photos on the Sydney Stereo Camera Club website at:
http://www.sscc.asn.au/sscc/folympic.htm
The must see photograph is the one that shows the two Davids (Klutho &
Stuckey) with all of the 3D cameras and twin rigs that they are using -
including that 18kg monster with twin 400mm f2.8 lenses and three electronic
tracking and correction sync units. Now that's a stereo camera!!
Incidentally that photo was taken in my living room a couple of nights ago.
Stereo cameras and twin rigs shown in this photo are:
three RBT-X3s with Pentax fixed focus lenses from 20mm to 100mm focal
length - lenses are delrin (poly acetyl) gear coupled.
RBT-S1 (Hexar)
Nikon F4 twin rig with coupled focus and Nikon f2.8 80-200 zooms, base is
240mm
Nikon F4 twin rig with coupled focus f2.8 400 mm lenses, base is 400mm
Ricoh XR/KR-10M twin rig with 135mm lenses
Ricoh XR/KR-10M twin rig with 200mm lenses
Olympus XA twin rig
David Klutho will be back in Sydney in September 2001 for the next
International Stereoscopic Union (ISU) Congress. He is on the program with
3D projection shows that includes Sydney Olympics and the SI Swimsuit
slides.
