I agree with Fred's comments about Digital Vs. Film. I think one major
factor that drives digital photography is speed in getting images from
the camera to the page or screen. I will give you that - you can produce
a final image faster, but I disagree that this speed is really necessary.
It is only "Necessary" because one can do it. 

The comments about Polaroid are interesting also. I have never seen the
need for much Polaroid - especially in the world of "Professional"
photography. I have watched many a 'Professional' photographer make test
shot after test shot, and me thinks it is a little silly. then there is
the longevity issues, sharpness, color, etc. Not as good as good old
color film.

For now, there is only one clear choice for any type of photography - and
that is film. Quality is simply better. Only the photographer can decide
if digital is the ideal approach to take. Me, I will stay with film.
