[photo-3d] Synching 2 Pentax ZX cameras

John Stewart asked if anyone is using the Pentax ZX-M setup.
I've been using the auto focus version of the same camera (ZX5n) for about a
year with good success. They do sync wonderfully. My only gripes are that
there is no auto off feature (it's easy to burn up an expensive battery) and
there is no balanced fill flash feature. If you want less than a full flash
you have to go through a complicated process to fool the cameras. Definitely
not user friendly. Because of this I recently bought a pair of Ricoh XRX 3PF
bodies, which do have both these features and are easier to sync because you
don't need to put a diode in the circuit. It's also nice that they are
identical to the RBT X3, so I should not have to rethink the controls when
shifting back and forth, as I often do. However, I have not carefully
evaluated their synchronization to flash yet.
I also wish to extend greetings to John Rupkalvis. Welcome!
Mark
