Batteries for the FED seem to be everywhere, they don't have to have
LR44 written on them, different manufacturers use different numbers
and often make batteries for each other.
at:
Walmart-- I found the Duracell 76S.
King Photo-- I found the Kodak KS76, I would assume that other
photo stores carry it as well.
Radio Shack-- I found their brand 76, 357 and 357E

All of these batteries are the same size and voltage as the LR44
(alkaline) except you can find some in alkaline and some silver. The
SR44 is silver. They are all 1.5 V batteries and all work in the FED.

You can use the alkaline versions or the silver versions but silver
is recomended as less likely to leak. My FED came new from Russia
with a 357A (alkaline).

They were all in the $2 to $4 range so none of them were as cheap as
the ones Darren found at Target.

If you have one of the older FEDs that take the 1.35V mercury
batteries; sorry.
