Please allow me to disagree here... The "ugly clunky machined
aluminum VM thing" is one of the finest VM viewers ever
made and it has something that on other VM viewer has:
Interocular adjustment.

Given the high magnification of the lenses, the small
size of the film chips and the questionable/variable
mounting of most commercial reels, this feature is
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, no matter what anyone else says.
(Unless if you enjoy double/unfused stereo images -
I don't)
