Don't get me wrong guys, I said:

I didn't say that I say it, I said that "some people might".
I own 4 Realists right now, each a little different then the others.
I use them. Most of my slides are out of Realists. It being cheap,
easy to fix and my knowing I can get parts is real nice. I also own
some other stereo cameras and use them too.
I can't get hung up on just one type camera, There are different
features about different cameras that I like and I can't get them all
in any one of them.
I like the lens cover system and it is not available on any other
camera that I know of. I wish it were metal instead of plastic. I
like the viewfinder in the center between the lenses and at the
bottom. There are some features I don't like and I believe that
Seton Rochwite didn't either. He fixed them in some of his later
designs.
How many of you Realist fans have never misses a shot because you
forgot to cock the shutter?
How many of you have never wanted to change shutter speeds after you
cocked the shutter?
How many of you have never held the wind release button too long and
wound by an exposure?
How many have never tried to use the rangefinder with your finger
over one of the windows?
Why do you think they kept making changes to the Realist? Not
because they thought it was perfect?
The Realist is a fun camera, after you learn how to use it well you
know that you can operate a camera that most of your flattie shooting
friends can't. The camera makes you think about everything you do.
The Realist is noticably different from any other camera and attracts
attention and you get to show it off. It is realist fun.
