[photo-3d] Modern Stereo Camera - Maybe it would look like a Kodak Stereo Camera?

I just finished doing full CLA's on my two Kodak's getting ready to part
with one. ( One of my prized Kodak's is for sale in Sell3D 181 ). While
working I am always amazed at how well the Kodak is engineered. Yes it is
plastic - easy to manufacture, light weight, just like any modern point and
shoot. Since Kodak was the Johnny 3D come lately they incorporated many of
the best features of their predecessors. The viewfinder between the lenses,
the modern fold up rewind film crank along with one of the easiest film
loading. All the camera controls, focus, shutters speed, f-stop, can be
viewed from the top.
Inside the camera, Kodak used a bottom film guide that assures the film is
transported parallel to the lenses. When focusing, the photographer can set
the distance by feet or for the distance impaired, the left focus ring is
divided into three zone, close-up - groups - scenes. The strap is as strong
as an automotive seat belt. The case is a two part everyready design.

So........ what would a modern stereo camera look like that could be
afforded by the masses? Do you think Nims and Lo ask that question? Or maybe
Loreo? :>) Their wallets probably would not want to answer.
My minds eye sees a Stereo Kodak with a pop up flash.

All and all - for a person who wants to give stereo a try and not let the
equipment slow them down, the modern stereo camera is here - a Kodak from
the 1950's. Then once h/she are really been bit by the 3D bug, h/she can
move on to spend thousands and thousands, hundreds even, in the pursuit of
the stereo camera holy grail.
