Hello Fellow 3d folks,
My name is Doug Hallstead. I'm new here so forgive any breaches
of etiquette.
I'm a grade 2 teacher in Winnipeg, Canada and have been taking 3d
slides since 1964 (!) Just a few months ago began shooting for
prints and viewing on one of the original stereopticons.
I have a couple of questions.

1. Does anyone know where I can buy lenses in order to build replica
stereopticons for friends.

2. Has anyone explored combining 3d (in center) with 2d on both sides
and viewing with the Lorgnette style viewer available from American
Paper Optics (originally by The Added Dimension). This viewer has
less magnification and therefore a wider field of view. I find I can
create something that aproximates natural vision since only the
center of our field of vision is 3d and the peripheral is 2D.

Hope to hear from someone.
