[photo-3d] How about if I pat my head and rub my belly?

Rupkalvis asks:
>>I suppose that if a baseball player were to hit the ball with the bat, you
would say that his hands were coupled (or "linked") to his eyes because both
were involved in the same action.<<
Labbe asks:
I suppose that if my right eye looks left and my left eye looks left at the
same time, it would be naive of me to think that they are (normally) linked.
Indeed, I find I can unlink and "cross" my eyes, people CAN learn to unlink.
This is not a hard link, let's call it a soft link...Many physiological
functions are (normally) linked... your example of hand-eye coordination
being an unlinked process (to disprove eye focus and convergence linkage) is
no better than your syncronized swimmer example.
JR:
>>I maintain that we could not view stereoscopic images on a flat
plane, either freeview or with viewing aids, if focus and convergence were
actually linked.<<
I said normally linked, not permanently linked. Here I am saying it again.
(NORMALLY linked. This would not include a myriad of eye dysfunctions as
well.)
