Hi,
I received the latest issue of Stereo World and was thrilled
to see an article on Don Peck, based on my interview
of Don that was published some time back in our
club newsletter.
Don Peck has been with our club since we first formed
on May of 1997. He attends our monthly meetings and
contributes slides in our competitions and occasional
programs.
He was instrumental in "discovering" single image
stereograms and obtained a patent in 1979. Despite
his efforts his invention did not have the commercial
success he had hoped for. But he was lucky to see
stereograms become popular in the early 90s, a few
years before his patent expired. The interview is
about the stereograms and his involvement in stereo
in general.
I am forwarding a message from Jim Motley on the
same subject, posted in the OSPS list.

Editor, Ohio Stereo Photographic Society (OSPS)
PS. There are many other good articles in this Stereo
World issue too!

>Vol 27 No 2 Stereo World came in the mail today. I glanced to
>see what was in it and spotted the article "Don Peck's Stereo
>Patterns" The article is preceded by an introduction by SW
>Editor John Dennis titled "Filling in SIS History". John stated
>that this article was published in the Feb. 1999 Stereogram from
>info resulting from George's interview with Don and Elaine in
>their home in Shaker Heights.
>
>Very nice article and great publicity for both Don Peck and
>OSPS. I believe that Stereo World has about 3000 subscribers
>hence this nicely "supplements" the publicity from the
>distribution of our great newsletter. Congratulations to Don and
>George.

>NSA conference coming to Buffalo next year.
