It's because of David E. Klutho, the Sports Illustrated photographer, who
proved to the editors and publishers that it could work. He originally
showed sports, but they didn't want to take a chance... then the swimsuit
people decided to spend the huge money for glasses: over ten cents each~
(these are the highest quality anaglyph glasses in any publication anywhere.
I worked with David to convince them it would be worthwhile)
