it would be an interesting experiment to raise someone from birth with only
stereo photos to look at. (some of you, I'm sure, are doing just that...)
I'll bet all my BF Skinner books that *flat* pictures of people and water
would look darn strange to that person. Still, I've looked at thousands and
thousands of stereo pictures and I never get tired of looking at pictures of
water. It *does* look weird, but weird in a good way. Water is reflective,
and reflections in stereo are fascinating. Look at all the old stereo cards
that include a mirror in the shot.
As for people, I'm used to it. All my snapshots are in stereo. Eventually
you get used to them not moving..
