Yes, this was a typo. I had originally written it as 0.625 to 1.250km, but
decided that looked a little too technical, and metric units of that value
are more often written in meters. Somehow the "k" escaped deletion in this
conversion.
Regarding your location of residence, I was referring not to satellite
images, but to the aerial images made of the entire United States by the U.
S. Coast and Geodetic survey for generating topographic maps.
