I read with interest the notes from Peter Homer, Mike Canters and others on
the Ektalite screen.

I bought, and still have such a screen. I bought it from Kodak Brussels, at
the same time that I bought my V.M 500 projector... in the 50ties or early
sixties. That is to say long before projection television (at least in
Belgium)

I have lost the notice, but remember that thev screen is made of a special
aluminized coating developed (as was stated) together by Kodak and
Dupont. As I remember, microscopic "cups" of aluminium in a plastic
matter. The curvature is designed to give a very narrow vertical angle and
a broader, horizontal one allowing projection in semi lighted rooms. So it
is made for slides projection and does not seem to distort the images.

It is perfectly suited for VM: just the right format and about two F.stops
more light...
(I still have to check if it, like myself, did deteriorate with age...)
