[photo-3d] 3D UP or DOWN?

Hello!
many stereoscopists agree this is a happy period for 3d. the number of 3d web sites is increasing and the offer for new 3d products seems increasing too*. These might be the symptoms of increasing interest, but who has real data? (figures?)
Do stereoscopic clubs and associations keep statistics of new memberships and withdrawals? Probably They do. Does anybody elaborate historical trends of new memberships and withdrawals? Are such statistics suitable to correctly describe the trend in a whole Country / State / Region? (I don't mind which one, nor the continent). 
If I can find such "exhaustive" statistics in the web, please give me some pointers. THANK YOU ALL.
