John, John....you're supposed to mount the camera on the slide bar, not
stack the slide bar against the plywood......  (exaggerated sigh)...when
will they ever learn?  :)

The one advantage to the plywood was, if you dropped your camera in the
water accidentally the plywood might help it float.  Other than that, the
slide bar wins hands down!
