To be more specific, the main modification is to the film advance, so
that it advances 2 rather than 4 frames each time. (The point is to
avoid wasting film if you are not using all four images.) You cover the
lenses you are not using at a given time with various attachments but
the camera still has 4 lenses. They sell closeup attachments that are
used with adjacent lenses, whereas you would use the outer lenses for
"normal" stereo shots. I have a "Teco-Nimslo" that I use mainly with the
12 " closeups, primarily for prints but I have also gotten nice results
with slide film.  -Linda
