Thanks for the plug John. The Stereoscopic Displays and Applications
conference has had a "standards forum" at the 1998 and 2000 conferences
but I understand the "General Purpose Stereoscopic Data Descriptor"
"standard" was agreed on before that. The document I have has a copyright
date of 1997. You can get a copy of the document via the SD&A conference
standards web page: http://www.stereoscopic.org/standard/index.html
We have scheduled another standards forum at the 2001 conference (Jan 22-24)
where we hope to move a bit further forward on ratifying a standard for
field-sequential 3D Video (NTSC & PAL).
