It may not be an all time world record, but it is my personal best
(worst?). I just got two rolls of mounted stereo slides in the mail from
the Kodak lab in Maryland, 16 months and two days after they were
received there. They had been lost from a multiple roll order after a
trip I took in the summer of 1999 to Yellowstone and Glacier/Waterston
National Parks. The stickers on the envelopes indicated "OK TO MAIL WHEN
COMPLETE" and were stamped 7/14/99. No note enclosed. But it is nice
that they did send them my way when they found them behind that filing
cabinet or whatever. For those who might suspect complicity of the
postal service in the delay, I should mention that the package was
postmarked two days ago.

FYI they were of usual Kodak quality with 10 slides out of the two rolls
with either mismatched (admittedly similar) pairs, or where one image
was reversed or inverted compared to the other. A few would have been
nice images except for the dirt and scratches on the emulsion.

That was the last batch I sent to Kodak. (I now use a local lab and do
the mounting myself). -Linda
