In a message dated 11/27/00 11:35:20 AM, Dr T writes to ubaye:

<< And now... a second opinion:

Through local stereo club activities I have come into
contact with two fellows, both beginners in stereo.
Both used the Loreo and were very happy. One has
moved to Nishika and Realist but still likes his Loreo
prints. The other is still in the Loreo stage and
he loves his Loreo prints. He brought them in
our last meeting, wanting to share them with the
group.

This experience let me to believe that the Loreo is
a fine way to get started in stereo. Low price and
convenience make this product very attractive (price
has dropped as low as $30 in some Discovery stores).
After my recommendation, our club purchased a Loreo
for some of our beginning members to use. >>

Ubaye: Please, PLEASE! don't waste your money on a Loreo. If you do get into
stereo photography to any decent degree, you'll look back on the Loreo as a
waste of money, no matter how cheap you get it for. Using the Sunny 16 system
as modified by our own Dr T, a Realist or Kodak is a significantly better
bargain, even if more expensive initially. Heck, my first REAL 3D camera,
outside of a Nimslo (which is pretty decent but not that versatile), was a
Realist, and by using a little common sense, my first roll of shots turned
out fine; in fact, one of my all-time favorites came from that roll.

Just my $.02...
