I also find it hard to recommend to a beginner a camera that doesn't 
take sharp pictures.  I think there are better ways to get started.  
Taking cha-cha shots with a single camera, digital or not, is one 
approach. It's easy to experiment with different separations using 
this technique.  No need to take only two shots of any given scene. 
Twinning two inexpensive point and shoots or even two disposables can 
also yield surprisingly good results.  As long as you're not trying 
to freeze rapid movement you can do quite well synchronizing two 
cameras by simply pressing both shutters at the same time.  Jim Harp
