[photo-3d] Ricoh XR-10M info

It's available here, of course. The Ricoh XR-10M (basically the same unit
as the KR-10M) is a 35mm manual focus SLR with motorized winding, through
the lens metering and optional aperture priority auto-exposure. When I twin
them I set exposures manually, but I find the built in meter to be
reasonably trustworthy. The camera takes Pentax K-mount lenses, so there's
a wide variety of good inexpensive optics available. I have 28, 50 and
135mm lenses that I use with mine. The electronic shutters on these
cameras just happen to fire in near perfect sync if the remote release
sockets are connected to each other, or better yet if the shutters are
connected with three wires. For the past few years Cambridge Camera in New
York has had quite a few Ricoh XR-10Ms (used, returned, remainders?)
available for between $125-180, but I have the sense that their supply of
Ricohs in good condition is diminishing. XR-10Ms can also be found at
camera shows and used outlets, and in my opinion are worth seeking out.
