As some/many of you may know, a stereo camera did go to the moon.
However, it was a macro stereo camera and it was designed to
photograph the lunar soil surface structure. At one
of our (Rochester, NY USA) stereo club meetings, a retired
Kodak employee showed some of the pictures.  So, we sat
in a darkened room and watched with great attention
slide after slide of *dirt*. But, it was lunar dirt and
that made all the difference.
