Use the upper "window" for the first exposure. Then, move
the same number (on the paper backing of the film) into the
center of the lower window and shoot again.

120 film has 12 numbers which will align with the windows
in the camera back. By using both positions, you will get
24 stereo pairs.

I've had my Duplex since 1976. I find the optics to be
exceptionally good! I believe that this is because this
is a more modern camera than some of the alternatives, built
in the mid 60's, rather than the 40's.

It is an excellent camera for portraits and close subjects,
(as close as 1 meter). Due to the reduced stereo base,
however, it is less suitable for landscape shots.

Most of the "Realist format" images on my web-site were
taken with this camera. The "figure studies",
(http://www.ray3d.com/figures.html), are the best examples
of my close and portrait work.

Chips are somewhat difficult to mount, owing to the lack
of standard sprocket holes.

Sincerely,

Ray Hannisian
