I assume you're referring to the over/under viewer optimized for 4 X 6
prints. This viewer does make prints look smaller due to the light
travelling through two mirrors, so I guess a non magnified soft print will
seem sharper.  IMHO the Viewmagic excels as a viewer for twinned cameras,
since you can enjoy full frame stereo viewing as soon as you get your prints
back from the lab.  For a beginner who can spend a bit more than the cost of
a Loreo I might suggest the Viewmagic along with twinned Olympus XA-2s.
