My guess is that you or your friends have not seen decent medium format
slides such are available in the several M F folios now being circulated
around this country and Canada. I have a LEEP viewer and have viewed a
dozzen LEEP slides and will say again that their quality is about equal ti
stereo slides I have seen that were taken with a Nishika stereo with its
plastic lenses. To say that the LEEP optics-"arecertainly quite good " is a
stretch in my opinion. As I have said before- discussing quality by using E
mail is a lost cause- but I know what I have seen - and the LEEP optics with
their 39 mm fish eye taking lenses are not enhanced by the mediocre acrylic
viewing lenses .Most everything is relative and believe that successful
users of
MF would be disappointed by looking at LEEP slides in a LEEP viewer! It was
agood idea, poorly executed and if properly done would be a camera capable
of competing with the RBT especially in terms of quality though projection
is currently a real problem though the ISU people have been successfull in
recent years. DON
